What template has chosen the dev team?
Give us more information about templates.

And I like three templates in this contest: Mbt_macro_blue, MC, Mmd_madeyourweb. They all look better "than one of the default templates in Mambo 4.5.2".
TO ALL SCEPTIC
This is simply contest.
No mambo ---- No contest.
And the winner is MAMBO OPEN SOURCE.

Correct, all templates will be released after the contest is over and we announce the winners.

Soory, I did not mean it to sound that way... I think the idea of template contest in general is good idea. I just see it like this:
the mambo core team in the end has to have final say. There has to be a excellent quality level for a template that will be in the core IMO. The dev team is already extremely busy. If they need more time to examine and correct somone elses template , because it need to work on all many browser/platforms etc..that is extra stress. if they decide not to check it over...who knows
So in the end, its just my opinion, please dont be so offended, i am allowed to have opinion, right ?
all the best

About template contest
They reconsider templates in question, not undeserving its creators, but they are not ready to Mambo 4.5.3.
Suggestion: It keeps the current voting and it prorogues the stated period for new submissions.

Following the discussion here and at mamboserver I would like to ask if someone of the critics could please explain what they mean. For example

but they are not ready to Mambo 4.5.3.
|
is like "this is no good". Could you be a little more specific please? Others say, the contest was "totally unfair". I only want to understand these critics, so please be kind and tell me what your points are about. I will not start to specify my template, I thought Mo wanted to do that. But if you tell me why for example my template is not ready for 4.5.3. although using new in 4.5.3. parameters, I can perhaps tell you something about the template or I can go back in my cave (for meeting mambosolutions ) because you can convince me why my template is that lousy like many seem to see it.
Thanks in advance for your and other answers. Mulder wanted to believe, I just want to understand

I am not offended, it's just not fair to judge all templates as being of low quality without given a specific reason, at least many of them are xhtml valid while not all current default Mambo templates validate.
- sure you're free to express your opinion.
It's not the end of the world if the dev team can't find a template that meet their standard, it's one of the condition of the contest that the dev team has to approve the template.

templates sent are not of high level
I voted tha Mmd_madeyourweb template, but even me I'm too busy for a template of my own. I'm very sorry for that...
Ok, the rules were very clear, 2 weeks. But in the future please consider that a lot of people have not to be excluded by this competition. Indeed the templates sent are not of high level or with a "fantastic" design...
In the future let us participate...
Moreover I am very sorry for the poor explanation of the famous "-3" matter.
I voted Mmd_madeyourweb but even JamaDama should be the same, in my opinion. Please avoid in the future flash features in template competition, they hide a technique void, in my opinion.
And If you see the new template from Water & Stone of freemambo, I'll give them the prize! (But the prize is for a new template o for a best one? )

i see i dig myself a hole here by expressing my opinion. wasnt my intention to imply that any specific templates are ' low quality'.
my inetention was only to say generally about the devs should have last word on what goes in the core...and Moe has now confirmed that this anyways is already the case.
cheers

I want to say that templates is not ready for the 4,5,3, because they are of low quality, poor, bad design. bad collors...
I think the time to send templates have been short.!
