Exclamation Editor not working

Hi all,

Have just put up my first joomla site and love the system, but I can't edit the items on the site, when logged in as admin.

I suspect it's somewhere in configuration but not sure what is needed to change to make it happen.

Any assistance very much appreciated.

This is what i found in the forum of mamboserver and it works for me :

If you find that the WYSWYG Editor is loading correctly, but not allowing you to enter content in the text boxes, this is a possible solution to your problem.

When you configured your site on install, you have to set a live path to you website (you can view your current settings by viewing the contents of the file configuration.php).

Now if you set
$mosConfig_live_site = www.stingrey.biz

Than when logging in to the front or backend to enter content, you must enter through the url:
www.stingrey.biz

If you try enter via:
stingrey.biz
The editor will load, but will then lock from being able to add/edit the text entry box.

Now if you live site configuration is
stingrey.biz
than you need to ensure you enter the site admin via that url

* This only solves one possible problem, if this does not work for you, than you need to search the forums for other possble solutions *

Hi Mok and thanks, that worked fine.

One other thing I noticed, is that when clicking a link on the front ppage of the site, it goes to an error page. I have seen this before and I suspect it was to do with the permissions on the config.php file.

It would be great if you could suggest something there as well.pprie your efforts on this and thank you for the assistance.
