i have been working on my first site with joomla.....my problem is when i ftp to my site from another machine the template is in complete disarray.....the menu items are shown as text only....the colors of the template are not visible....the images are not where it is supposed to be..in short the look of the site is completely destroyed.......but the conetent is perfectly ok....all the menu items are visible and the links are working perfectly.............but when i copy the whole site and database into the machine and try to access it directly ,it is ok....only ftp is causing problems....any ideas?thanks in advance....

got the solution..........actually i am a novice with ftp..that was the problem.....see there is a variable $mosConfig_live_site in configuration.php which i had set to http://localhost/name of site.....obviously "localhost " won't work while ftp ing.....you have to specify the particular machine instead of localhost..........thanks everyone....
