High Traffic Joomla Hosting

Hello,

I'm building a Joomla site for a fairly popular American entertainer (performing singer/songwriter) and part of my job is specifying a host. She has a fan base that I suspect is much larger than the audience of most of the corporate portal sites I've made with Joomla, so we need a site with a fast stable database and plenty of bandwidth to handle spikes in traffic when she's touring or appearing on the news. Ideally the host's support staff would be available on a consulting basis to help with joomla performance tuning. I don't think we need a dedicated server but I may be wrong about that.

Looking around I find that Rochen is highly regarded, and also that BuyHTTP has 'semi-dedicated' server offerings. Any other recommendations?

Does this person have a current site? What kind of traffic is that site generating?

Perhaps get a smaller account to start then a dedicated server later on depending on traffic and server load.
Did you end up choosing a host?

If you are sure to get high traffic then go for a dedicated server. Shifting server will cause downtime. May cause problems too....

Go with a dedicated server. I'm sure she will have no problems paying for that.

You might want to take a look at wiredtree.com

dedicated server is good for you.. I recommend hostgator and lunarpages.com

or you could try a vps, same benefits as server but with less of a cost

45000 GB TRAFFIC will be good for your popular sites

basicly that you good shared hosting with huge bandwith and diskspace can serve you well.

if it is really big u need a dedicated server.
