Default MAMBOHUT - nobody cares about the news???

Hi all,

I've tried a few mambo templates picked up almost randomly at mambohut.com.
I have a plain standard mambo site where I didn't touch anything of the php code, I just configured it through the standard admin interface. I didn't install ant third party components nor modules nor did i create any.
I have a standard mambo "flashnews" module, the one that comes with mambo. In the default "waterandstone" template of Mambo, it appears on the right side of the page.
I changed its name from "flashnews" to "noticias" since my site is in spanish. But i did it the standard way through the backend interface - no hardcoding nor hacking.

Well, with ALL the Mambohut templates I tried, the flashnews module of the frontpage just disappears. With the default waterandstone template, it does show up.

I tried Corporate, InTouch, DnsPlazma, 247PortalBroad.
The preview images of some of these templates do seem to include flashnews.

So my question is: did all these people who created these templates forget about flashnews???
Or did they rely some way on the actual displayed name of the module instead of detecting it the correct way as the WaterAndStone template does???

What I do is just install the template, choose it as the default template in the administration backend, and look at the result.
Well, it shouldn't require any further configuration step to have all the content shown with the template one choose: that's what templates are all about.

Any suggestion? Are flashnews simply outfashoned? Someone can suggest me a template that does implement flashnews?

Thanks
Matteo

Not all templates load all module positions, and almost none load them in the same spot. Try moving your newsflash module to the Left or Right module positions and it will show up on just about every template made. I've never seen a template that didn't load the left module position.

Default Try this

Publish your "flasnews" in the top module.. it will work.
If you want to find what modules positions are in the template and where are positioned, in the admin interface choose to preview your site "inline with positions" this way you can choose whre to position your news.

Hope this solves your problem.
