Go to mambodemo.com and click on "mamboDemo Tutorial Center", under cPanel section you'll find a tutorials on "using phpMyAdmin", this will show you how to backup/restore a DB using phpMyAdmin

Ok thank you. I'm also having trouble with this site. I'm hosting it through yahoo.com. It's www.demarccreations.com . I can get to the mambo install via this address: http://www.demarccreations.com/insta...n/install1.php

But I dont know what to put in here so I can advance to the next step. It keeps saying incorrect username or password. Gosh I've been trying to do this for over a week now and feel so stupid. Someone please help me with this. And thanks for all your previous help.

Do you have the database and database user created? You may want to contact your host, they can probably sort this out for you in a few minutes.

Default step 5?

hi, i'm a bit new in joomla and mambo. my problem is moving a local mambo site to internet. i made the 4 steps and had no problem. I'll appreciate if someone can make a detailed explanation about Step 5
